Melinda L. Binks


Melinda is a Program Associate at the Center for Resource Management. Her responsibilities include assisting with ongoing program innovation and implementation.

Prior to working with the CRM, Melinda held various positions in the Communications & Public Affairs Department at Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc. in New York. She was a Public Policy Analyst for an internal think tank called the Merrill Lynch Forum, which looked at emerging trends in technology, globalization and economics. In addition to doing research and writing for the Forum, she managed the Innovation Grants Competition, a global program which awards $180,000 to PhDs who propose commercial applications of their thesis research and is judged by internationally renowned CEOs and entrepreneurs. She was also a Marketing & Communications consultant at Merrill Lynch assisting with the implementation of the Southern California Partnership for Economic Achievement, a $77 million dollar program helping to open financial markets to new investors in Los Angeles and Orange Counties.

Melinda received her B.A. in Sociology and Women’s Studies at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. She lives in Boulder, Colorado.
